Jacqueline Dufalla, Ph.D.

Jacqueline Dufalla recently successfully defended her dissertation entitled, “Re-conceptualizing a Global Challenger: Russia in the International System,” at Central European University. Before that, she completed her MA at Central European University in International Relations and European Studies and her MRes from University of Glasgow in Russian, Central and Eastern European Studies. Her research has focused on Russia’s role in the international system, specifically focusing on the concept of hegemony and expanding the definition of a counter-hegemonic challenger. Jacqueline has had her researched published in Millennium: The Journal of International Studies, as well as through Riddle and the Ethics & International Affairs Journal. She started as a post-doc at the Center for Security Studies in 2023 researching how the Russo-Ukrainian War affects European security.
